Horus
90% of amputees in the world do not have access to a quality prosthesis. Until now, prostheses had to be tailor made by specialized orthopedists. Unfortunately, there are not enough specialists in the world to meet the demand and to do so, the manufacture of a prosthesis could take weeks to manufacture, and due to the craftsmanship required, they end up having a very high cost.
Horus is a company founded by Eduardo Sotelo and Mateo Escalante, which has developed a technology that allows prostheses to be manufactured remotely in less than an hour, eliminating the need to visit an orthopedist and thus dramatically reducing the cost of making a quality prosthesis. Horus seeks to create a long-term relationship with amputees to restore self-sufficiency and the ability to make their own decisions to achieve what they set out to do.
