What is Lucha?
Our founders answer the question
We start from the belief that providing capital is necessary but not sufficient to take startups to the next level. Our value proposition for stellar impact-driven involves supporting them across five key pillars to increase the chances of success (both in business and impact) for their startup. These five pillars are:
1. Impact Modeling: We achieve a deep understanding of the social or environmental problem being addressed in order to collaboratively model and measure its impact in a tangible and scalable way.
2. Strategic storytelling: We co-create an impact story that deeply engages users, investors, and talent.
3. Leadership capacity development: We enhance their capabilities to help them inspire their team and foster a vibrant culture within their organization.
4. Connections and transactions: Leveraging our collective network, we enable transactions with key players to enhance the impact and growth of their startup.
5. Fundraising: Through our fund, we invest early-stage capital of up to USD 150K in startups, and they also gain access to our network of angel investors to strengthen their journey.

At Lucha, we specialize in investing in startups during their early stages. Our investment is made exclusively after the companies have successfully completed our acceleration program. In exchange for this capital and services, Lucha takes an equity stake.
We recognize the importance of capital in a startup’s growth, but we firmly believe that it must be accompanied by a solid impact model, an inspiring story, and conscious leaders to increase the startup’s chances of success.

Rather than just looking for startups, we seek stellar impact-driven founders. We place great importance on the abilities and activist mindset of those who are the primary predictors of their projects' success. That said, the companies partnering with LUCHA must be focused on reducing social inequalities (access gaps) or combating climate change (carbon sequestration).
